Update Your Mind: Reprogram Limiting Beliefs Quickly

Video originally posted to social media in 2022

Have you ever stopped to consider how your childhood programming might still be influencing your thoughts and behaviors today? Learning this was a mind-blowing experience for me. As an adult, I realized I was operating on subconscious programming picked up while stumbling through life as a child in the 90s.

Our subconscious minds are like computers; they’re programmed early in life, often without a full understanding of right or wrong. For example, if a young child expresses anger and is sent to their room, they may learn that anger is bad and internalize the belief “I am bad” or “expressing emotion/anger is bad.” These limiting beliefs can stick with us well into adulthood — unless we actively reprogram them.

As a hypnotist, I can help clients update these patterns, but even on your own, you can start the process. Repetition is key: using positive affirmations consistently helps rewire the subconscious mind for success.

Try This Affirmation

“Day by day and in every way, I am getting better and better” — Emile Coué

Repeat it first thing in the morning, as you fall asleep at night, every hour if you can, or place sticky notes around your home, office, or car as reminders.

With time and consistency, you’ll notice your outlook improving, limiting beliefs fading, and your emotional state becoming more positive.
