The Art of Healing Isn't Hard to Master
Take it from someone who has used hypnosis to improve many aspects of life: making positive changes can be easier than you think. Hypnosis is a shift in perspective. It gives you access to your subconscious mind, where all the programming you’ve picked up since birth lives.
From a young age, we’re often taught that everything is hard… but change doesn’t have to be hard with hypnotherapy. Hypnosis happens naturally several times a day when daydreaming, reading, driving, or gaming. Hypnotherapy simply uses that natural state as a tool for self-improvement. It’s a rewiring process: transforming the negative, limiting beliefs you formed long ago (or heard from others) into beliefs that empower you. It’s about focusing on how you want to feel, and letting those positive shifts happen naturally.
I am transparent with my clients about my own experience: hypnosis has helped me overcome anxiousness, sadness, sleep issues, a fear of public speaking, and even a nicotine addiction. When you believe in yourself and feel good, you naturally make healthier choices that support your wellbeing. I’ve seen this transformation in both myself and many clients.
I practice Integral Hypnotherapy™ which is the only hypnotherapy methodology that has been scientifically-validated by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). You can learn more about me here, and keep reading below to discover the benefits hypnotherapy can bring to your life.
About Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is an educational and self-improvement process that facilitates access to internal resources that help people solve problems, increase motivation, or alter behavioral patterns to create positive change. Clients are fully aware of what is happening during a hypnotherapy session and are in complete control of their thoughts, actions, and what they choose to speak out loud. Despite what we’ve all seen on TV and during stage hypnosis shows, hypnotherapy isn’t about being made to bark like a dog for laughs. It’s about getting into a state of relaxation, setting goals, imagining helpful imagery, and repeating positive suggestions for change. Hypnotherapy is not about mind control or falling asleep. Rather, it’s about waking up and taking control of your life. You are physically relaxed yet in a heightened state of awareness. Think about the last time you were driving somewhere, spaced out, and you snap out of it minutes later. That’s hypnosis, and it occurs naturally on a daily basis.

Many people try hypnotherapy because they feel stuck. They consciously want to sleep better, eat healthier, feel more confident, stop a habit, or respond differently to stress, yet they find themselves repeating the same patterns.
This is often because old subconscious programming is still running in the background. Hypnotherapy aims to help create new, more supportive patterns so positive change can feel more natural and automatic.
If you’ve ever found yourself saying, “I know what I should do, but I just can’t seem to do it,” hypnotherapy may be worth exploring.
Talk therapy primarily works with the conscious mind and hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind — the part of you that stores habits, beliefs, emotions, and automatic patterns.
Think of it this way: talk therapy helps you understand the computer, while hypnotherapy helps you update the programming.
Hypnotherapy is not intended to replace talk therapy. In fact, many clients find that the two approaches complement each other beautifully.

She was professional, enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and an all around pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.Posted on Google Karen EptonDecember 17, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I met with Ali Miller from Garrett Wellness Center for hypnotherapy to overcome my fear of needles. We had a wonderful and encouraging 2 hour session. She gave me exercises to practice at home and the meeting not only helped me when I had to have IV sedation, her words gave me a more positive attitude in general. I would recommend Ali if you're thinking about hypnotherapy to improve many aspects of your life.Posted on Google Julian DalrympleJuly 22, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you are skeptical or uncertain of hypnosis, I highly encourage you to explore it with an open mind and allow Ali to work her professional magic on you! I came to Ali back in April of this year after years of seeing physical therapists, acupuncturists, and chiropractors to alleviate my sciatica! Initially, we started off with an introductory Zoom call. After listening to the audio she provides after each meeting and the two in person sessions I've had, I'm back to living a near pain-free existence when it comes to my sciatica! I cannot say for certain that Ali has help completely alleviate my back pain as I still do my physical therapy sessions almost every day, but her sessions have made a significant impact on both my mental and physical health! I typically listen to my most recent hypnosis session during the morning or day! Not unlike meditation, I use the session as a means of putting on my mental health shield to protect/guide me through the day! Ali displays a great deal of joy, love, empathy, and enthusiasm in her practice! She's thoughtful and compassionate when it comes to listening and she provides a warm and safe environment during each session! I've recommended Ali to others and I will continue to evangelize her name when the subject of 'hypnosis' comes up! 5/5 without question! After dealing with months of crippling anxiety after a surprising health diagnosis, Ali's efforts have led to incredible improvements in my mental health! Our session was meant to be 2 hours, but Ali spent close to 3 hours with me (at no extra cost!) to ensure I got the help I needed. She talked about how hypnotherapy works, the anxiety issues I'd been experiencing, and worked with me to draft affirmations for my hypnosis. I love that she records the session, and I've continued to listen to it. Hypnotherapy isn't like what you see in the media, but it truly helped me to replace automatic negative thoughts with positive, proactive ones. Ali is effective, but also one of the warmest, kindest, most empathetic people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.Posted on Google David RashidMay 9, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wonderful experience with Ali. Not my first time with hypnotherapy - she was outstanding. Provided thoughtful reflection and discussion on the goals I hoped to achieve. She was thorough and engaging and the audio recording is an added bonus. I would highly recommend.Posted on Google CarolineApril 3, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I scheduled a session with Ali after trying everything else to get over a crippling fear of flying. In one session and after listening to my hypnosis recordings for a week, I happily took my entire family to Europe. Even with a bumpy flight I found comfort in my hypnosis. When it was the end of our trip and the return home was coming soon, usually I would have not been able to enjoy the rest of the vacation, but instead I no longer dreaded the flight to come and even looked forward to the ability to be able to just sit and relax. To say that Ali changed my life is an understatement. Every time I traveled before I would always say upon returning home that I would never do it again, it was too traumatic, too hard. But after meeting with Ali, after arriving back home I am looking forward to traveling and flying again. I could not be more grateful and highly recommend Ali.Posted on Google Alyson SimkinsJanuary 14, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot give higher praise to Ali and her hypnotherapy work! We came to her after exhausting literally every other option for our daughter’s encopresis. We had tried chiropractors, GI specialists, physical therapy, family therapy, prescriptions, dietary changes and nothing was working. After several ER visits, I decided to look into hypnotherapy as a last resort and I’m beyond grateful I did!! From my first phone call with Ali, I felt so encouraged that we were finally on the right path. At our visit, Ali was amazing at making our 3 year old daughter feel comfortable. By the end of the visit, she didn’t want to leave and kept asking when we could go back! After just one session, our daughter’s mindset seemed changed and after a couple of weeks, she was completely over her fears! Truly nothing else changed, except for our visit with Ali. I will forever be grateful that we found Ali, and I sing her praises to anyone who asks about our journey!Posted on Google Brian SmithDecember 30, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Working with Ali was a delight. She is engaging, caring, and thorough. Each meeting was uplifting and enlightening. I experienced positive effects after the first appointment. Since our sessions I continue to find being in the moment easy & effortless. A life-altering upgrade for me. A key differentiator with Ali is she gives you recordings of sessions to listen to on your own to reinforce their impact. Can't say enough good things about Ali as an individual and the services she provides.
The easier you can make it inside your head, the easier it will make things outside your head.
