Understanding the Triune Mind in Hypnotherapy
Hey lovies, it’s Ali Mae from Hypnotherapist of Chicago! Many people ask me why hypnotherapy focuses so much on the subconscious mind. In integral hypnotherapy, we use a model called the triune mind, which consists of three levels: conscious, subconscious, and superconscious. Understanding these levels can help you reach your goals, unlock insights, and tap into your inner potential.
The Conscious Mind
The conscious mind is where logic lives. It’s where you think, interpret information from your senses, and set goals. It also houses willpower, which can sometimes make it harder to reach your goals if it works against you.
The Subconscious Mind
The subconscious mind is the “great doer.” It holds all of your emotional energy for reaching goals and doesn’t differentiate between truth and fantasy. This means that even if you consciously don’t fully believe an affirmation, your subconscious can accept it and create positive results. Hypnotherapy works directly with this part of your mind to help you overcome limiting beliefs and achieve your goals.
The Superconscious Mind
The superconscious mind is your highest intelligence. It’s your problem-solving center and connects you to source, spirit, or God — whatever word resonates with you. Insights often pop in during calm, everyday moments, like in the shower or while cleaning. The more you enter hypnosis, the more superconscious insights you can access.
The triune mind is a powerful framework for understanding how hypnotherapy helps you reach your goals and improve your life. Want to explore how hypnotherapy can help you unlock your subconscious and superconscious potential? Book a session with Ali Mae today!
